Holiday Treats #2

This little mama-to-be has been baking/cooking up a storm in preparation of Christmas.  Each day that goes by I get bigger and more uncomfortable, so the less we have to do on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, the better!

I just made my Mom's famous chocolate "spiders" and thought I'd share this recipe.  They're a bit retro and a lot delicious.  They're always one of those things that are long gone by the end of the night.  Another salty-sweet treat for you!

Bonus... these only took me about 10-15 minutes to make and were oh-so-simple.  No baking involved!

Here you go:

Ingredients
6 squares (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup butterscotch chips
2 cups chow mein noodles
1 cup salted peanuts
1 cup mini marshmallows

Directions
Melt all of the chocolate in a double-boiler over hot water
Mix the remaining ingredients in a large bowl
Pour the melted chocolate over the noodle/marshmallow/peanut mix
Stir well to coat
Spoon small clumps onto waxed paper and cool
Keep chilled

Enjoy!
