13 Weeks

Size of baby: A peach.  Just under 3" long and .8 ounces

Weight gain: Same, still down a few pounds.  I haven't been weighing myself regularly, so will have to start doing that soon.

Maternity clothes:    Coming soon, I'd imagine.  I don't really need them at this very moment, but some of my tighter jeans are getting a little tighter just at the button.  Fun.

Gender:  I'm going to take this category out soon, since we really aren't going to find out.  I will say that my smart friend, Brittany (who normally has a good track record for these things) told me I was pregnant and that it was a girl before I even told her the news!  Crazy!

Nursery: Trey picked up the paint and has started painting the ceiling.  We are doing the ceiling a very pale blue like the sky (which I argue is very gender neutral) and the walls are a creamy white, like vanilla ice cream.  I'm so excited to start decorating!
Development / Movement: Baby's head is now 1/3 the size of the body, which means Squish is starting to look more like a baby now.  Vocal cords are forming this week.  That is kinda cool!
Sleep: While I still sleep very well, I am definitely feeling my energy return.  I haven't had a nap for several days now and have been going to the gym.  These are huge improvements!
What I miss: Feeling good this week and not feeling super deprived of my favourite things.  It helps that I've been able to find lots of brie cheese that is pasteurized in the grocery store.
Best moment this week: Linden.  I've been helping Anita and Jeff out lots this week since baby has come home.  When they need a nap or a break, I'm there to watch that adorable prince!  Anita and I have had lots of good visits and I've had lots of nice snuggle time with my little "nephew".  Also loved telling family and friends that we are pregnant!  We have had so many nice messages of love and support and it is SO nice not to have to keep it a secret!
Looking forward to: Not having to do any more work in the basement.  Christie and Sheldon moved in the day Linden was born (July 27), and the only job we had left was the kitchen backsplash, which is now complete.  It was exhausting and I'm glad it is now finished.
Cravings: Nothing really.
Symptoms: This week I feel pretty normal.  I'm less bloated than I was in the first month, I have more energy, and I generally feel mostly like myself.
Workouts: Going well!  I am doing interval training and weight training, but nothing too intense on the cardio front.
